Wedge prisms can individually deflect a laser beam at a set angle, or two can collaborate for beam steering. A single prism's deflection is measured in Diopters, with 1 diopter shifting the beam 1cm at a 1m distance. Two prisms can form an anamorphic pair for beam shaping, or be paired for steering within a circle defined by 4θ, where θ is the single prism deviation. This steering, achieved by independently rotating the prisms, is often used in imaging applications.
