The 1921 Peace Dollar was the only high relief peace dollar, This is a Key Date, very special coin
-This is the first year of the peace dollar series.
This coin was designed and given the name the "Peace Dollar" after the end of the first world war, to show the world a means of peace. You will also notice a V in the word Trust, this is to signify the Victory of the war.
-This coin also has a very deep strike, as the hair has full details, which is quite rare on the high relief peace dollars. Lots of mint state examples have weak strikes, making them less appealing and desirable. However, this one displays a deep strike. Also to note, this coin has begun toning around the edges of the coin.
