But as I always tell the customers who buy my tires—if you have a heavy Ebike and plan to use any tire on your rear wheel that’s not a motorcycle tire, install Tannus armours, tire liners and add some kind of sealant like slime tube sealant in your tires. I say the same for these tires.
. I installed one of these on a HEAVY CARBON STEEL RIM, THE FRONT WHEEL…see my HEAVY DUTY CARBON STEEL bike among the pictures in this listing. I combined it with Tannus armours and slime tube sealant. Going on 3 years now and ZERO PUNCTURES SO FAR.
I would not install any tire that’s not a motorcycle type tire on my rear wheel, unless I didn’t mind dealing with punctures every 2 weeks or so.
(I do mind).
Therefore, this tire will never be a rear wheel tire for me. FRONT WHEEL ONLY.
If your bike is heavy and you plan to carry weight on the rear, either puncture proof this tire or get a compatible motorcycle tire
