The M-65 field jacket, adopted by the US military in 1965, is a 2nd Model with an aluminum zipper (with shoulder loops). It has a stand-up collar with a stowable hood inside.
This 2nd Model is generally called the first type, aluminum zipper type.
Robert De Niro wore this 2nd Model with shoulder loops and an aluminum zipper in the movie "TAXI DRIVER."
