Door County Cooking Cookbook Bay View

Bay View was established by Norwegian settlers in 1883 (the first records were written in Norwegian and we still have some members who can read them).  The church bell, purchased by the ladies of the church, is still in our bell tower calling us to worship and marking the events in the life of our church family. The stained glass windows are still in our building casting their enchanting lights on us.This cookbook is filled with recipes which came from our congregation members and friends. Fellowship and food, as this cookbook attests, stand at the center of our life together as a congregation. When we worship, the food of Holy Communion, the Eucharist, is always celebrated and shared. Nothing is more important to us. The wine, the grape juice, the bread, of the blessed spiritual and holy food feeds us, and sustains us, and joins us together.
