Our beginner bundle will get you started quilting your own quilts! When you’re starting out, it’s always better to have an easy guide to follow. The Ultimate Pounce Pad comes with 2 ounces of specially formulated iron-off chalk. That’s enough chalk for several large quilts. Iron it off with a hot, dry, or steam iron. It can also be brushed off or washed off. It is a fast, accurate way to transfer the stencil without using a marking pencil. Full instructions are included. Our popular Stipple Meander Full Line Stencil is 100% continuous line sewing to get the job done quickly and easily and, of course, with beautiful results. The Beginner’s Choice Bundle includes: Pounce Pad with Ultimate Iron Off Chalk #31019 Stipple Meander Full Line Stencil, approx. 9 ¾” x 15 ¼” Full Line Stencils are made of tough nylon mesh fabric; they have no true openings. Instead, the chalk sifts through the open mesh areas eliminating the need for breaks and bridges throughout the design as in the antiquated plastic stencils. There is very little maintenance involved in caring for the stencils, and they could last a lifetime even if neglected. We suggest you wipe the chalk off the stencil before using it with different color chalk; a microfiber towel works well. Full Line Stencils are also water-resistant; it’s possible to use other mediums such as paint or ink with them. They have no right or wrong side, and most have registration marks to align the pattern's repeats. Should your stencil become wrinkled, simply press it flat with an iron (med. High temp, no steam). Beginner’s Choice Bundles are also available with a Pounce Pad with Blue or Pink Brush Off/Wash Off Chalk. It’s something to consider when marking light color fabric.
