From a young age, I've been captivated by aviation. As a child, I'd insist on dining at the airport restaurant to watch planes take off and listen to radio chatter. I even requested a PPL training video for Christmas. Later, I worked briefly as a news helicopter cameraman to stay close to aviation, but my dream of earning a PPL was hindered by time and financial constraints. Discovering X-Plane's advanced simulation capabilities allowed me to learn real-world procedures and fly various aircraft I couldn't afford otherwise. I've trained with real pilots online, earned ratings, and made friends in the community. While I can't fly in reality, X-Plane makes it feel real and has fulfilled my aviation dreams.
