Carafe needs to be put through the dishwasher. I hand washed it but there's a bit of mineral buildup on the underside of the disk (pictured) It happens, they suggest a baking soda mixture to help with that.

*Comes in the original packaging. I added some bubble wrap and then I went the next extra step of wrapping the box pictured in bubble wrap and placing that in a shipping bag. I just want to note that should the unfortunate happen and UPS break this while in route, a claim needs to be filed with the UPS, I have used all of the original packaging from Mayu PLUS extra and it's out of my hands once it leaves my home. I'm not a store, just another human like you. If it breaks, the UPS needs to be held accountable and all complaints need to be directed towards them. Also, I believe you can purchase just a carafe.
