This piece was made by two brothers in the Jimon family who have passed away. So this is a very early piece.
The piece was molded (built) by the son of Zacarias Jimon his name was Juan Jimon and the decoration was made by Asuncion Jimon.
The Jimons's are a very special folk art family that go back 4 or 5 generations working in the Tonala tradition. This unique shape was developed during the 1920s by a famous artisan Zacarias Jimon This piece was made in Tonala, Mexico, handmade,hand decorated and burnished.



14.5 inches high and 12 inches wide approximately It is in great condition for its age, see picture for condition of piece.
