Panzer IV Ausf E

The Panzer IV, Germany's most prolific tank in WWII, with around 8,500 units produced, served in all theaters and was the only German tank in continuous production throughout the war. Initially designed for infantry support, it later took on the anti-tank role due to its development potential and the threat posed by the T-34. The Panzer IV underwent numerous upgrades and modifications to counter new threats, extending its service life. In October 1940, the Ausf. E variant was introduced, featuring 30mm armor on the bow plate, a 30mm applique steel plate on the glacis, a new driver's visor, and a relocated commander's cupola. A total of 206 Ausf. Es were produced between October 1940 and April 1941.
