Rare 1930s-40s pinback button Schmidt Brewing Co. Saint Paul Post 8

A rare Schmidt Brewing Company large advertiser's premium pin-back button from the 1930s/40s. The front of the button is in excellent condition, with sharp and clear colors. The back of the button still has the oiginal blue paper insert, which remains in pristine condition, and is imprinted with the manufacturer's name: Western Badge and Novelty Co., St. Paul, Minn. The only wear of note is minor oxidation to the rim, but it is on the back, and not visible when the button is worn.

This is a large example of this kind of pinback button: measuring 2 1/2 inches in diameter: most others of this kind are at least an inch smaller. The American Legion Indians were a Senior Drum and Bugle Corps, sponsored by the St. Paul American Legion Post 8 and the Schmidt Brewing Company
