s.CRY.ed
A television anime produced by Sunrise, aired on TV Tokyo and BS Japan from July 4 to December 26, 2001. Total of 26 episodes.

Story
In the early 21st century, a mysterious energy surge occurred in a part of Kanagawa Prefecture, centered on Yokohama, causing a massive uplift that defied natural phenomena. This resulted in the birth of a landmass called "Lost Ground," spanning approximately 20 to 30 kilometers in radius and reaching a height of over 240 meters. The entire metropolitan area lost its functionality, and politics and economics entered a prolonged period of stagnation. Five years later, with the recovery of Japan's resources and aid from the United Nations, the Lost Ground began to rebuild. However, a unique two-tiered society was formed, consisting of residents of the rebuilt city and residents of the collapsed area, known as "Inners."

Ippo Hyodo
A Japanese male anime screenwriter and light novel author. He is from Osaka Prefecture and currently works as a freelancer. He graduated from Komagaya Elementary School and the Osaka University of Arts, Department of Film. He previously worked as a production assistant at Sunrise.
