Seiko Vintage 6309-7049 Turtle Automatic -- 1981

Getting hard to source a Turtle in highly original condition. This one has a nearly perfect ORIGINAL DIAL and was serviced / works as designed. These early 3rd Issue / Gen.. Diver's were only made from 1976 into the mid Eighties before the case changed to the slimmer case #7290. This one is the N. America version with Days in English / Spanish. Case has normal wear for it's age as many of these were used as daily wear / tool watches. Crown and Tube are good with deep thread. I have had a number of these and this is one of the best I have seen in terms of Dial / Movement. Inside is the last of the all jeweled 17J Automatics. Later 7002 / 7S26 mechs had more stamped parts and plastic spacers / pivots. The 6309 is known to regulate to a much higher standard than the later Diver's if properly serviced. Last one I sold that was similar brought 650. Asking just 525. As there are some case dings / scratches throughout. Hands are correct type but replacements. Hardlex is AA. Serial = 2/81
