The Dance of Death, also known as the Danse Macabre or the Totentanz, was a very popular theme in the art of the Middle Ages. The infamous black plague carried off kings, cardinals, and commoners alike, striking without warning.
This wee, kooky little boutique art book updates that theme for the people of the 21st century, featuring 48 pages of art and snarky commentary (in rhyme!) on the inevitable demise of our contemporary figures.
This first edition, small hardcover book measures approximately 5.25" W x 5.25" H x .5" D and was signed by the author in 2016 (see photo #6). Book is in very good condition with light signs of wear/age primarily on the cover. Interior pages are clean/unmarked with the exception of the author's signature.
