With an aperture range of f/2.5 to f/22, the Lensbaby Soft Focus II optic is a new and improved version of one of the oldest and, recently, most sought-after optics in Lensbaby's optical interchange optic system, the Original Soft Focus optics. Compatible with all current and legacy Lensbaby Optic Swap lens bodies, the Soft Focus II improves on its predecessor by adding a manually adjustable 12-blade internal aperture to its unique and versatile magnetic aperture system. Depicting a color palette that leans toward soft pastels at brighter apertures and producing a remarkably flat field of focus, this optic makes possible images that are impossible to achieve with any other lens. Stopped down to f/8 or darker, the Soft Focus II produces beautifully detailed and traditionally sharp images with a large central focus area and out-of-focus edges on full-frame and 35mm film sensors. The rapid variability of the optical effect from impressionistic and bright to contrasting and sharp is made possible by the internal 12-blade aperture that is adjusted by rotating the front of the optic.
