The "CARAT-RUBY2" is a USB-DAC with a built-in headphone amplifier from Styleaudio, which incorporates high-end audio technology and quality into PC audio while offering it at a low price.

The CARAT-RUBY2 allows for high-quality playback via USB connection at up to 24Bit/96kHz, and via optical connection at up to 24Bit/192kHz, without the need for installation.

It uses six OPAMPs, three for each of the left and right channels, for audio output, designed in a HEXAD configuration with twin mono separation for left and right channels, achieving high-quality sound reproduction.

Unlike its predecessor, the CARAT-RUBY (not sold in Japan), which did not have insulators, the RUBY2 features copper spikes, first adopted in the CARAT-TOPAZ, at the request of users in Japan.

The CARAT-RUBY2 has an optical digital input in addition to a USB input.

Optical digital connections often support up to 96kHz, but the RUBY2 uses high-precision components from Toshiba and supports 24Bit/192kHz even with optical digital input.

The inclusion of an optical digital input allows connection to devices other than PCs, such as CD/DVD players, and even digital terrestrial tuners and game consoles, which may have inferior audio performance, allowing for enjoyment with deep, high-fidelity sound.
