Victorian, sterling silver -mounted (on burgundy velvet) picture frame, Birmingham, England, year-hallmarked for 1898, Deakin and Francis - makers. Sterling silver has a matte finish, and is pierced so that the burgundy velvet shows through. Frame measures 9 1/2 inches high x 7 1/4 inches wide x 4 inches deep (when easel is in open position). Frame will hold and show a photo that is 5 inches x 7 inches. Easel back slides down so that photo can be inserted. Dark spots on silver are reflections. In very good antique condition.
Worth a lot more than I am asking but I do not like selling for retail. Will take offers.
