How to Set up anl Regulate the Clock:
Place the Clock in a perpendicular position
Oil the pallets or ends of the
parts commonly called the verge, the pin on which the verge plays, and the wire which carries the pendulum to the place where it
touches the rod. One drop is
sufficient for the whole. Hang on the pendulum ball, then put on the key and turn until the Clock is wound up.
The Clock is regulated by means of a screw at
The bottom of the pendulum.
If the Clock should go too fast, lower the ball;
If too slow, raise it. Should the
Clock by any means strike wrong. it may be made to strike right by raising the small wire under the dial, and repeating the operation until it does strike right.
